Talk about a twist from what I thought the ending
was going to be! A suspenseful conclusion to a three book series that can has
kept me on my toes.
I
have been waiting for Jillian’s story for three novels now. She has been the reason
and the driving forward behind what our killer has aimed for. It takes courage
for her to come back and face the man who she believes to be after her life and
the girl doesn’t get much of a break!
It
seemed with this title, there needed to be an explosion or death threat every
couple of chapters to keep the tension level high. After a bit this pace became
a bit old, but the romance leveled in was a nice balancing act.
As I mentioned above, the end had a fantastic
twist that I didn’t see coming for three books. I think it was a surprise for
our would-be murderer too. Talk about depravity…but it was interesting and
different. Made for a “did that really just happen??” moment.
Contemporary
suspense with a flair of romance and more than just a pinch of fast
finger-flicking through the pages. A weekend read sure to keep you up late to
find out “who did it”.
This

Oops! I saw it coming...I think that means I read too much suspense - LOL!
ReplyDeleteYeah, probably. BUT, I'm also one of those readers that literally could not see the bad guy behind the door. I'm always very proud of myself when I do figure out the ending. LOL!
DeleteI saw it coming too. ;) But not in the first two books! And I'm a big suspense reader so I think that may be why. I did like the way the twist unfolded. This was my all day Saturday read. Just me, the book, and my treadmill!
ReplyDeleteI'm an easily fooled reader. I've said it in all my review titles of suspense books. But I still love them, probably because of that factor. Yes! Agree with you, how it unfolds (even if we know the ending) can make it a great read!
DeleteHaha, it sure enough did keep me up late! And no...I didn't see the ending. Well, not quite. But then again, despite reading tons of suspense...I never do. So no big shocker there. ;) Delightful read though!
