Determined widow Elenora Watkins escapes her controlling father and heads west with her nine-year-old daughter to accept a partnership in a successful mercantile. Upon her arrival, the surprised proprietor, Miles Rutledge, withdraws his offer because she's a woman, a fact his well-meaning but meddlesome mother had kept from him. Although Miles comes to regret his hasty decision, Elenora informs him she has no intention of being his partner after all and will open a mercantile of her own across the street instead. The two fight for the town's business—and against their growing attraction.

Debra, wfnren, Renee, and LoRee, thanks for the support. It means so much to me to know that you're looking forward to reading the story. I hope you enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteYes LoRee, the waiting can be tough at times, but it adds to the anticipation. I've plenty to keep me busy, though, and have a feeling the seven months will fly.
The January Bride book is out now, A Bride's Flight from Virginia City, Montana. My copy arrived yesterday. The Bride books in Barbour's new Destination Romances line, which are the historicals, come out in odd months. The Wedding books, which are the contempories, come out in even months.
Woohoo! I cannot wait to read your book, Keli!
ReplyDeleteI definitely want to read this book. It sounds like a great read! Way to go, Keli!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Everyone! :-)
