Casey Herringshaw is a homeschool graduate and has been writing since high school. She lives in rural Eastern Oregon in a town more populated with cows than people. Taking the words and stories God has placed on her heart and putting them on paper is one of her highest passions in life. Casey is a member of ACFW and an assistant to the ACFW Carol Awards. Personal Bio:
Hello! My name is Casey (but you already knew that), I am blessed to be a child of God, a student of the craft of writing and a young woman learning to be content within my skin and the life around me--and where God has me. I live on a small farm, through my dream home would be in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by trees, grass, and not a neighbor in sight--preferably in Iowa. ;-)
I am a homeschool graduate, blessed to be raised in the love and admiration of my Savior Jesus Christ. I try to take each day as it comes and let tomorrow worry about itself. I have a not-so-secret dream to live in Iowa. I dance on chairs at inappropriate moments and laughter is my favorite sound.
I hope to someday become a willing helpmate and wife to my future husband, but until the day God brings that man into my life, I'll spend my days learning to be that Proverbs 31 woman.
I love putting words on a page. I'd probably call it obsession, but it seconds only my love for a really, really good book. Hopefully someday my novels join my favorite authors on those bookstore shelves, but until that day, I'll keep dreaming a dream of being published and writing more stories. Trust me, I got plenty of characters bouncing around in my head. ;-)
You can contact me through my blogs: Writing for Christ and The Writer's Alley or by email caseym(.)writer(@)gmail(.)com.
Until we meet again, I leave you with my two life verses:
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
But those that hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31

ReplyDeleteYou have a beautiful blog, Casey! The phrase 'more cows than people' brought back a chuckle from many years ago: We had a little visitor to our Hutterite colony and one day he wrote home telling a friend about his visit, "They have more pigs than people here."
ReplyDeleteI guess it's good humans like you, that is keeping this world alive
