Giveaway and Author Interview: Hearts in Flight

Welcome to Writing for Christ Patty Smith Hall, it is great to have you here! Do you have an interesting fact about yourself the average reader probably doesn’t know?

I’m a history geek! Ever since I was knee high to a peanut, I’ve been reading history books and autobiographies—I even talked my parents into going Washington DC when I was eight so that I could go to Arlington National Cemetery and visit President Kennedy’s grave. Like I said, history geek!

Do you have a favorite genre to read/write?

Well, I read all genres but the majority of my personal library is made up of historical fiction. But I write both contemporary and historical.
Do you have a nugget of writing advice that has completely changed how you view writing? 
Set a daily word count and stick to it! My daily count is between 1000 and 1500 words a day. 
What do you enjoy most about being a published author? 
I’m loving the whole experience! From seeing my cover to the first time to working with my fantastic editor, Rachel Burkot who helped make my book into something so much better to holding a copy in my hand, it’s all been great. I’m just hearing from readers and that’s been so much fun and so humbling. The whole process has been a blessing!

    I have read some biographies of the first women pilots in World War II and know some of the obstacles that they faced. Would love to read this book.
