What are your thoughts? Did your favorites win?
I'd love to hear your thoughts!
Wow, the only one I read from this list was "You don't know me" and I did give it 5 Stars!
ReplyDeleteI will have to keep this list and start working on it.
Thanks!
You'll definitely want to read Julie Cantrell's book as well. It was excellent!
DeleteOK thanks Casey, I just added it to my wish list.
DeleteI probably would have chosen "Love's Reckoning" over "Against the Tide," but they were both excellent books that made me hurt for the heroine. I shall have to reread them to see if I would still vote that way! "Wedded to War" was excellent also; unfortunately, I haven't read the other first books yet to compare.
ReplyDeleteI know, I agree with you Rachael. Laura is one of my favorite authors and a good friend, so of course I was pulling for her. We'll have to hope for another year. :)
DeleteI'm with Rachael -- I absolutely ADORED Love's Reckoning -- one of THE BEST books I have ever read in the CBA. Don't get me wrong -- I also loved Against the Tide, but LR has my heart.
ReplyDeleteI also was sorely disappointed that Wedded to War didn't win something. :(
Hugs,
Julie
I know! You AND Laura need to get up there and win a Christy. ;-) Did you attend the awards banquet?
DeleteI have read four of the books that were chosen and loved them all. I have also read most of the finalists. Overall, great choices! But I do think "Dead Lawyers Tell No Tales" is Randy Singer's best book to date; maybe next year!
ReplyDeleteI've read more finalists this year than winners. A lot of the winners and their authors I was unfamiliar with.
