I don't know if any of you remember that I entered this contest in the Historical Romance division. Well, I didn't final. I must say I have mixed feelings about that. In a way I am very grateful I did not final. The first few pages of that manuscript I sent in was just not ready (the manuscript not the pages). This contest is so prestigious that often just by finaling editors will seriously look at it. And the last thing I wanted to do was have to turn an editor or agent down because my work wasn't ready. So, God knows best. I am trusting Him for that and am so thrilled for the finalists, God has everything planned in His time!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

I too, am excited for the finalists. I agree with you, everything IS planned in His time:)
ReplyDeleteBlessings,

Absolutely Karen! Finaling is HUGE and I am so thrilled for them, so MANY ties!! Awesome. :)
ReplyDeleteCasey, I admire you so much for entering and being honest enough to say you're work isn't quite ready. That is HUGE:) I have no doubt I'll see your name on the list in time. In His time, as you so aptly said. Praying for you and your writing!
ReplyDeleteThank you Laura, that means a lot. :) Oh, I would be one of those persons that would be afraid to send it out because it is not PERFECT yet. That could be trouble too. :)
ReplyDeleteGod knew what I needed and I was fine either way. Like you said maybe someday. Thanks for the encouragement!!
Having the courage to enter the Genesis is HUGE! I soooo admire you for entering!!!! Have you gotten your scores back? I'm still waiting on mine. :(
ReplyDeleteMe too, Sherrinda. But I am NO hurry to read them right now. So I don't mind waiting on that one. :D Hey, right back at you for entering too. :)
